I picked up some civilians for Pulp City at the Colours show in Newbury. I saw them and they grabbed my eye because the sculpts have quite a lot of character for simple bystanders.
I have 50 Victory Force Zeds most of which could easily pass for civilians (especially as they are not gored up yet as i was planning on starting an ATZ campaign from the initial outbreak) these are also full of character and at a dollar each are an absolute steal. I always think it is the one part of the game that we ignore the most, the innocent bystanders.
Noooooo! My arch nemesis leader of the monkeys is mocking my unpainted figures....
I'm just waiting for all you "sitting around waiting for the baby to come and therefore get loads of painting time" to turn into "headless chicken running around after new baby, too tired to even remember what a paintbrush is" time.

hats off mate, they look a lot better painted than they did in the bare metal. You have done a very good job there.
