World Eaters ready for PMBE

Tonight I'm chuffed. I've finished my GoG army for the PMBE this weekend. 1800 points from scratch in 2 and a half months. Wow. And do you know what? I've really enjoyed painting this lot up; so much so that I want to finish off the 4th squad of Bezerkers and a squad of Possessed (that I've had since the plastics were released...)

Anyway on to a couple of pictures of the army; not the best quality pictures but they convey that the army is all together. You might notice a couple of Dreadnoughts in there and think "they're not World Eater Dreads!". You'd be correct: had lots of trouble getting the Forgeworld Dreads to stick so ended up raiding the boxes of bits and converting up 2 Assault on Black Reach Dreads that I recently swapped with VariStat. Necessity is the mother of invention and/or deadlines focus the mind!

... and Kharn. What can we say about Kharn? Whilst he was maiming my army the other week Silverback suggested I should put some kind of scorecard on his base: then paint on the new Betrayer kill total after each battle. I liked this idea so took it away, mulled it over and came to the conclusion that a scoreboard of some sort was definately required; something to stand out and advertise Kharn's lethality.

So this is what I came up with:
"Look what I did, Ma!"

Anyway, 1800 points. Done. Fantastic. Just in time for those rather spiffing looking Blood Angels...

Blood for the Whojamaflip Chap

One question I'm always being asked is "what does 1570 points of World Eaters look like Mr.Fox?"

It consists of a Defiler with as many extra combat arms as he can get
A Land Raider with as many Twin-Linked Lascannons as he can get oh and he's Daemonically Possessed obviously!
A Vindicator (Daemonic) and a couple of his Rhino mates (not Daemonic just Extra Armoured)
And then 26 Infantry figures including 3 squads of 8 Bezerkers, a Terminator Lord and some chap by the name of Kharn (who has just been painted and is waiting for his back pack to be glued on). Just the basing to go on this lot.
Skull Champion who follows England
Lord. Champion of Khorne. This leaves me with the basing and then 2 lovely Forgeworld Dreads to put together. 2 weekends to go now and the race is on.

Project Hush - Clues 2

My word! Is that another week gone? Amazing how quickly time travels when you're trying to get 1800 points of a new army up and running from scratch.

Painted ready for final touches and basing:
All Infantry barring 2nd HQ
2 x Vehicles

Base-Coated:
3 x Vehicles

To build:
1 x HQ
2 x Vehicles

You will note then that of the 12 KP previously mentioned 7 have vehicles stats.

Second clue for this weekend? Oh ok then here you are:

Project Hush

It's all been very quiet from the Silver Fox lately so here I am to put things right between us.
Pre-Christmas I spent a lot of time painting up my Shrike led army for our GoG Decemberation; they won 3 (turn 5 ending games are great), drew 1 and lost 1 so a damn fine return. I'll sort out a proper blog of the Peregrine Knights at a future date.
When I completed that I was trying to work out which army to do next and with an event sometime early 2010 I thought I'd count up the models I had unpainted to see what army was nearest completion. Once I crossed the 500 unpainted infantry figures during the count I kind of gave up!!
I needed a new plan...
One of things that various GoGs have tried to do in the past is build an army in secret; usually this doesn't work cos we're not very good at keeping secrets: always wanting to show off our latest creation (and why not - this is a show and tell kind of hobby). But I decided I really did want to do a secret army.
Back through the mounds of unpainted I went until I found stuff from 4 or 5 years ago that I'd purchased with a mind to building an army one day. An inventory count found that I had the troops, a HQ, couple of elites and 3 heavies already sorted: all I needed was a second HQ and some transports for the troops. So was born my Project Hush.
So who are they? Speculation is rife amongst the GoG Community and bets have been placed on all the armies showing in the attached pictures... well maybe all of them.
Clues?
At 1800 points there are 12 Kill Points.
Are they in one of the pictures scattered through this post? Well that would be telling now wouldn't it!?
I did take a picture of one of the HQ guys in his blister:
How is Project Hush coming along? All troops have been painted and are just waiting on the wash coats along with 1 HQ. 5 big things have been built this weekend and base coated.
